THE NORTH AMERICAN CORPORATE STATE

With Canada and the United States forcefully merging following the "Great Scare of 2020," populations have began to bunch up in megacities on the east and west coast.


The Vancouver Megacity has pulled in everyone from California yuppies to Montana homeless, seen as a place where one can either find a free-ride on the government's staggering mound of debt or a half-decent job.

California's failed attempt at creating a functional mega-metropolis has fueled Vancouver's growth and has created a near endless warzone for what remains of the U.S. National Guard and various private military contractors to use as a playground. While small communities survive through the daily waves of thugs, anarchists, and occasional secessionists, California has become the land of renegades, rogues, and psychopaths.

Immigration from Asia has also shaped the demographics of North America. Overpopulation in China has given the autocratic state an excess to use politically. Making the exportation of their people a national enterprise, Chinese corporations have huge influence over Vancouver, the city almost majority Chinese itself.

With the Congress increasingly Chinese, the minority underclass of Whites, Indians, Blacks, and other Asians have began secluding themselves in close-knit religious and ethnic farming communities throughout the industrialized agricultural zones making up the former rural states.
